KEWTECH LAUNCHES ITS KT63 – ‘THE SMALL MFT PACKED WITH BIG FEATURES’

Kewtech has launched the KT63, a simple-to-use multifunction tester with those time saving features that you would expect on a more expensive instrument. Auto RCD test, hands free and test lead auto-null within an intuitive user interface make the KT63a trusty workhorse.

During ‘dead’ testing the instrument is constantly checking for inadvertent connection to live circuits. Insulation and continuity can be performed continuously or a single tests. There is a choice of three voltage levels for insulation testing and the resistance of the test leads during continuity readings can automatically be nulled.

The loop test can be performed using a high current or a low current to avoid tripping all types of RCD. When in high current mode the instrument conducts a true loop impedance measurement giving superior accuracy when testing close to the transformer. PSC/PFC is also undertaken during the loop test measurement.

The RCD function tests 30mA to 500mA type AC RCDs with an auto-test for 30mA rated units. When set in auto mode the instrument will run through all of the six standard tests whilst you only have to reset the RCD each time it trips.

The KT63 also has a unique mains polarity test which can determine whether phase and neutral have been switched at the incoming supply.

Kewtech have also taken care of the smaller detail too. The instrument comes with a hard case, a padded neck strap, strong G7 test leads and a foam inserted hard case. You will also find an end of line certificate and printed manual in the case too.
